WAS RUDD'S DOWNFALL AN ACT OF US POLITICAL INTERFERENCE?

A strange thing happens in Australia politics when Australian Prime Ministers begin to distance their Foreign Policy influence from the US, in that their political leadership is cut short.

We have to look no further than the case of Gough Whitlam's 1975 dismissal at the hands of then Governor General Sir John Kerr who was a British joined a United States political anti left organisation 'the London based Congress For Cultural freedoms in the 1950's which was later revealed as a CIA political front influence organisation.

In 1974 wile Whitlam was in power 24 million dollars of US money was laundered through the corrupt front Nugan Hand bank which was based in Sydney, Singapore and Hong Kong, which was given to the Liberal party to beat Gough Whitlam.

There was revelations by Jonathan Kitney on how the Nugan Hand Bank had replaced the Castle Bank and Trust Company in Nassau, as the CIA’s covert banker.

Castle Bank and Trust Company had been forced to close after theU Internal US Internal Revenue Service  discovered that it was laundering CIA.

Like ex Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, Gough Whitlam wanted Australia to have a bit more independence in relation to the United States in regards to Foreign Affairs matters.

Whitlam questioned the operations of Pine Gap and it's roe in the bombing of Cambodia which was designed to push the North Vietnamese forces deeper into Cambodia to pit them against the Cambodian Khmer Rouge forces starting with Operation Menu, then continued against the Khmer Rouge up until funding was cut by US congress in August 1973.

Prior to Richard Nixon's visit to China to open up diplomatic relations in 1972, Gough Whitlam went to China to open up relations as Australian opposition leader in 1971 as an effort to display independent relations in the Asian region.

In a similar move to Whitlam, Kevin Rudd opened up economic and diplomatic ties with China in a more independent foreign Policy sense.

Kevin Rudd also sought for Australia having an Independent Foreign Policy outlook. Rudd withdrew Australia from the hawkish Quadrilateral Security Dialogue Group which was established which was set up by former US Vice President Dick Cheney, former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe,  Australian Prime Minister John Howard and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

The  Quadrilateral Security Dialogue Group has as its cornerstone, the enhancement of co operation with countries that share Japan's Security interests in line with the US Japan alliance.

This basically confines Australia to a US Japan hegemony Foreign Policy strategy in Asia.

It is devoid of Australia having an Independent Foreign Policy in Asia.

With Kevin Rudd pulling off Australia's wheel on the Quad bike Security Dialogue group  turned it into a trike that crashed.

This created hostility towards Kevin Rudd from the US in which US ambassador to Canberra Robert McCallum called this act a blunder by Kevin Rudd among other significant blunders by his government.

Alleged WikiLeaks files in December 2010 revealed that in August 2009 Foreign Affairs Defence and Trade Senator Mark Arbib,  and Senator David Feeney, provided the US embassy with regular updates on internal government discussions and divisions within the leadership.

Julia Gillard was out in lace of Kevin Rudd in a leadership spill supported by Mark Abib, Senator David Feeney and ex Labor opposition leader Kim Beazley ,who had failed to take the Labor Party to a win against John Howard in the 1998 and 2001 elections, even though he polled ahead of John Howard coming up to those elections.

One of the leaked Wikileaks cables reveals that in 2006, Beazley, then leader of the opposition, met with US ambassador McCallum and assured him that a future Labor government would fight alongside the US against China.

When Julia Gillard gained the leadership of the government she went along with former presidents Barak Obama's pivot to Asia to increase US influence presence in the Indo Pacific, she signed the Trans Pacific Partnership with the US , which excluded China.

Gillard assisted in the increased US exertion of military presence in Asia in adding a US marines base in Darwin on top of the other US bases in Australia.

This move by Gillard put Australia in a better positions to put Australia back into a revived Quadrilateral Security Dialogue Group  which happened on to with the Liberal Malcolm Turnbull government signing on to and bringing it back to life 2017.

Imagine for a moment if current government Senators were meeting in secret at the Chinese embassy giving them updates of a leadership spill as if reporting to masters seemingly overseeing the process?

In the Criminal Code act of 1995 which was in force at that time it states under section

 (1)  A person commits an offence if:

(ii)  the conduct is directed, funded or supervised by a foreign principal or a person acting on behalf of a foreign principal; and

                      (c)  the person intends that the conduct will:

                      (i)  influence a political or governmental process of the Commonwealth or a State or Territory; or

                        (ii)  influence the exercise (whether or not in Australia) of an Australian democratic or political right or duty;

This offence carries a 15 years jail sentence.

Do the events events surrounding the ousting of Kevin Rudd need to investigated fully to see

if there has been an offence committed under the "Offence of intentional foreign

interference."

On thing is for sure Australia has taken an turn back to a more Anti China Foreign Policy

which is subservient to the United States.
